Their Heating Up!

Posted: March 13, 2013 in Champion, Most hated, Superstars

The defending champions in the NBA; the Miami Heat are currently on a nineteen game win streak. The team that is most hated in the NBA don’t seem to be worried about how people feel about them or how much they are hated on. Ever since LeBron James and Chris Bosh teamed up with Dwayne Wade and the rest of the heat controversy began. The sports nation went crazy as the best of the best teamed up on one superstar filled team. Out of the five payers that start for the heat, three of them are always considered and placed into the all-star game on a annualy basis.

However, it wasn’t always sunny in Miami; for the Heat at least. The first year that the superstars joined together that was promised nothing less that a championship didn’t go as planned thanks to Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks who swept the Miami Heat 4-0 in the NBA finals where Nowitzki won his first NBA title. That was the biggest shocker in the sports world as everyone thought that the Mavericks wouldn’t stand a chance agaisnt the Miami Heat due to all of that superstar power and championship caliber status that comes with them. The Mavericks proved everyone wrong and not only won the NBA cahmpionship but swept the Miami heat.

In 2012 it was a new story for the Miami Heat as they played with more agression and meaning during the season. The ended up reaching the NBA finals once again. This time around they won they NBA championship and Lebron cashed in on his first NBA ring. It was a huge relieve off his shoulders because everyone in the sports world kept talking about how he was a great player but still didn’t have a ring. Now he can care less and let the people talk because his got one under his belt; however that is not enough for king James who promised more and more championships for the Miami Heat fans.

This season the Heat are playing with the same passion and aggression they did last season. They have won nineteen straight games and are literally on fire. They are playing unstopable this season and looks like they are well on their way to the NBA finals once again to compete for the championship which they are more than capabale of doing. Good luck to Lebron James and the Miami Heat, most people hate but i appreciate great players who block out all the talk and concentrate on they have to do.

This past Monday, February 18, 2013; was a very sad day in the sports world. The famous majority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers past away due to cancer. He had been batteling cancer for the past two years, and the battle came to an end at the age of 80 for the great champion and entertaining owner. Jerry Buss has been known for putting together the high caliber teams to bring the ultimate entertainment to the city of Los Angeles. He also was the one who brought the famous and gourgeous Laker girls to perform at the halftime at all of the home games. He will always be remembered by his players as the greatest owner, as he served more than just an owner relationship to each of his players. He was a good friend with each of his players, a good mentor and wonderful owner. He will also be remembered by his family as a loving and caring father to his kids and a great husband to his wife.

Jerry Buss started to become very famous when he took over the majority of the Los Angeles Lakers and drafted the best players to form an ultimate championship caliber team. He started the whole showtime era with his best player Magic Johnson and James Worthy. He created that team and they won their first championship that year he took onwership exactly ten months after. He wouldn’t stop their, after the showtime era with Magic Johnson, came the Kobe Bryant era which he drafted him staright out of high school as he saw the vision that Kobe can make his team championship once again. Along with Shaquille O’neal and head coach Phil Jackson, they went on to win five more championships to the city of Angels.

Jerry Buss was more than just an onwer, he brought exicitment and action along with the type of basketball he wanted to see be played in his arena. He made the Lakers brand as popular as it is today. Without his vision or spirit the Lakers would not be as famous as they are today. He would bring together the best players on the team to bring that championship spirit to the city. He will always be remembered as the greatest owner in sports. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.
